Description
About FlinVEE:
FlinVEE builds end-to-end intercom and access-control solutions — for apartments, homes, factories and other properties. We design, build, and deliver both hardware-integrated and cloud/software components to support reliable, secure, and user-friendly intercom systems. As we scale and expand our technology offering, we’re looking for motivated Senior Camera Engineers to join our team and help build the future of access & communication solutions.
Role Overview
As a Senior Camera Engineer, you will own the design, implementation, and optimization of camera systems across FlinVEE’s hardware product line. You will work closely with embedded engineers, ML engineers, and product teams to deliver exceptional image quality under challenging real-world conditions (low light, HDR scenes, motion, backlit doorways, etc.).
This role is highly impactful — your work directly shapes the visual experience of every FlinVEE customer.
What You’ll Do — Key Responsibilities
1. Design and develop FlinVEE’s image quality evaluation pipeline for intercom cameras, including: tone and exposure, color and white balance, noise, texture, and detail preservation, HDR performance, video artifacts and low-light performance.
2. Evaluate and optimize fundamental imaging blocks including: denoising & sharpening, 3A algorithms (AE, AWB, AF).
3. Test and refine both traditional ISP algorithms and ML-based imaging features.
4. Generate detailed IQ reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve image quality.
5. Work with camera module vendors for sensor selection, calibration, optics evaluation, and tuning.
6. Participate in bring-up and characterization of new sensors and modules.
What We’re Looking For — Basic Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in image processing, camera software development, or camera hardware integration.
3. Strong understanding of camera imaging algorithms (denoising, sharpening, 3A, HDR, color management).
4. Experience with camera IQ evaluation methodologies and metrics.
5. Hands-on experience setting up camera IQ test labs and real-world test pipelines.
6. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++.
Nice-to-Haves (but not mandatory)
1. 7+ years of industry experience in camera development for mobile, IoT, security cameras, or automotive imaging.
2. Experience with: ISP algorithm development (denoising, HDR, sharpening, tone mapping), computational photography pipelines
3. Familiarity with real-time video streaming constraints (latency, bandwidth, compression).
4. ML-based imaging (denoising, super-resolution, color correction)
What We Offer / What the Candidate Gains
1. Opportunity to own and build a core technology at an early-stage startup.
2. Fast-paced environment with high impact and autonomy.
3. A collaborative, growth-oriented environment where new ideas and initiative are valued.
4. Work on real, hard technical challenges that directly influence a shipped product.
